A snippet

This is a small snippet from one of the many great stories written by Premchand. Actually the guy who was hit was husband of Virjan. A very beautiful girl who had just come after her Gauna . This guy, Kamla, was bigda hua. Good for nothing. His friends were also like him. Due to their bad habits they were not allowed in Kamla's house. That night he drank a lot and after *some* discussion he took his friends to his house.

Shaadi ke baad sab badal jaate hain

"Its 5 days. Can u imagine 5 days. My brother has not called me. And its not the 1st time. It happened last month also" Ayesha told Himesh. She had tears in her eyes.
"My brother has changed since his marriage. Do you know, when I came here after the summer vacation, he did not call me. When I called him 2 days later he told I was about to call. 2 days later he was about to call. huh"

Ayesha then started telling - "I am here from past 3 years and these things have never happened. My brother always cared for me. How can he do this to me. subuk".

Himesh was quiet all this time. He was thinking of this saying "Shaadi ke baad sab badal jaate hain".
Now the question is, is it really true. May be all married people can answer :)
What I think is, marriage itself is a BIG change in anyone's life. There will be change in your behavior. Its natural. Then was Ayesha overreacting? or was she not ready for the change in his brothers life?
After marriage everyone's perspective towards you changes and in a big way. Even if you do a minor mistake, that must have been ignored when you, the same you, were not married, can create a huge concern in your surrounding.
God bless all married ones :P

An idea can change your life

I got a call on saturday evening that I have got a very good opportunity to meet someone special on sunday. My number was given by one of my new friends. So with every sunday going for a waste I thought of attending this meeting. The meeting was at his apartment. There I met a group of people. Most of them were in IT with more experience than me. There were girls too.
The speaker said that we are here for a business meeting.
He started in a very good manner. His approach was convincing, examples were
upto the mark, and most importantly he was making understand his point.
He explained how McDonald's function (basically franchisee business), what makes Amitabh to work at this age also.

He also expalined how Kishore Kumar and J.K Rowling have made sure that their
next generations do not have to worry about money.
All in all the idea was to do something now and get benefited to all your life.
Isn't that good :)
He was sure and as being an IITian he said he knows many of them in this business.
By this time evreyone was interested in knowing what is it.

And you know what he named that as Amway. What the hell... These people are here for that.
I was shocked. I laughed for a second and the next moment I was on my way.

While returning, I was thinking what kind of motivation these people get at IIT.
If they get these kind of motivations then I am lucky enough to not join any IIT.

IIIT-H Rox :)

Sorry for the misleading title...but I got the call with that intention only :P

Sleep in

The meeting was too boring that I could not resist to take naps. I somehow managed to not show it to the presenter but they know who is sleeping and who is not :)

It reminded me 2 incidents and I was smiling next moment:

1. In our 1st year, during Naidu's classes almost everybody used to sleep even though the attendance used to be less. The most famous was Chandra Mouli. He always sat on the 1st row and after every 5-10 minutes we hear a disturbing sound that made us awake too. He used to fell from his chair literally.
For those of you who do not know Naidu, he was our Physics prof and caretaker too.
Those days attendance was not compulsory. :D

2. In one of the Tom & Jerry episodes...Tom had a night out and the next day how he was trying everything to avoid any kind of sleep is worth watching. Can you think of putting toothpick between your eyelid.

PS1: There were many good incidents that are worth sharing.
PS2: I am not good at describing incidents the way they should be.
